Seminar Program The aim of the weight management program is to help clients manage their weight. Generally therefore, it tends to appeal to those who are currently overweight but is also useful for anyone whose weight tends to vary, anyone who has a poor relationship with eating or anyone who simply wants to maintain a sensible weight in a healthy manner. The Aim ¬ Lose weight ¬ Increase confidence ¬ Improve and maintain long term good health and fitness ¬ Increase physical activity The weight management program can be offered as a one-to-one consultancy session with an individual client, combining the contents of a session with exercise but is just effective – possibly even more effective – when offered in a class situation, perhaps with 6-10 people involved. In this environment there is a lot of interaction and feedback which can help and encourage your clients. The Audience ¬ Anyone who wants to lose weight ¬ GP referrals who need to lose weight ¬ Anyone who wants to become more active ¬ Anyone who wants to improve their overall health The program is designed as a series of 1-hour long seminars over a 6-week period that introduces the client to the core principles of developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle so that they can initially achieve weight loss and subsequently weight maintenance. The program can been run with the Fit File software, which is closely tied into each seminar topic or can be run without the use of Fit File at all. Using the software offers a whole range of analysis and information that clients will probably find professional, impressive and interesting however. It may encourage your students to purchase the software at the end of the seminar program to aid their weight management, and this can generate additional income for you and also create a very tangible link between you and your client.
