Recording Exercise Sessions

This worked example shows you how to record the exercise session performed with a client.

To record exercise sessions, use the DIARY area and select EXERCISE DIARY from the left hand side of the screen.

Planned Exercise

Any planned exercise will automatically show on the diary. Planned exercise is that which has been added to the clients exercise targets. (See FAQ U1 for how to set these targets)

In this example, the client has Running set up as an exercise target for Tuesdays, so this appears on the Exercise Diary.

To record that they have done some running, simply enter the time spent in the box provided. If required, you can write notes about the session in the area provided.

The user may also have a series of strength exercise programmed. The diary will then show these exercises. Again, enter how many were done - time, reps etc., and any notes required, for each exercise shown.

This is now recorded on the clients exercise diary for the specified day.

Unplanned Exercise

If you do not have a specific daily schedule for clients, you can simply add the exercise session performed onto the diary ‘freehand’.

As you can see in this example, the Exercise Diary has no exercises showing – it only says Add Unplanned Exercise.

Click on Add Unplanned Exercise.

Select either Cardio or Strength/Other and find the exercise performed, for example Cycling Moderate.

Click on Select

Now enter the amount of time spent Cycling in the appropriate box.

This is now recorded on the clients exercise diary for the specified day.

Reporting on exercise sessions

To print feedback reports for exercise go to the REPORTS area and select Exercise Summary, or select exercise from pull-down list at bottom of page and print as required.
