Installing Fit File

To install Fit File, insert the CD into the drive and an automatic procedure should start that installs the program.

If it does not start, go to the START button (bottom left of screen) and choose RUN. Click on the BROWSE button and select the CD drive, and find the file called AUTORUN. Click on this and choose OK - Run.

You can choose between a Large or Small installation. A large installation puts all the video clips of the exercises and all the information sheets onto your computers hard disk. This is more convenient when using Fit File, but does take up a lot of disk space, so only choose Large if you have lots of free space. If you choose the Small installation, you will need the CD in your computers drive, whenever you wish to access video images and information sheets.

Once the installation starts, it will asks questions about where you want to install Fit File - if you are not sure, just accept the folder it offers.  Then follow the wizard through to completion.

Installation may take a while as there are lots of files being copied! Be patient - it may not seem to be doing much, but it will get there!

Once installation is complete, we advise adding a shortcut to make it easy to run the program.

To add a Shortcut to your desktop, go to Desktop (this is the main screen when you first turn the computer on) and right click your mouse on any free area - choose New - Shortcut. Click on the Browse button and select the folder C:\Program Files\Fit File (or alternative folder if you chose a different one during installation) and find the file called Blue. Select this and click on OK. Click on NEXT and then on FINISH.

You are now installed and ready to go!!
