Security

Private Funds Manager has three types of security :

  1. Security inherent in Network Installation
  2. User Names and Passwords
  3. The ability to add a password to the database itself.

Network Security

If Private Funds Manager is installed on a network, it automatically has built in security. This is because the network installation will need to specify who is allowed to access the folder holding the Private Funds Manager, and what they can do when they get there. Some users may therefore be given on Read capability, so that can view the Private Funds but make no entries. Others may be allowed to enter but not delete, and others still not allowed even to enter!

User Names and Passwords

As many users as required can be entered on the system with their own password.

From the top left of the screen select  FILE -  SECURITY

Select ADD USER

Enter a new user name

Enter password then re-enter password as a check

Click on SAVE

Add any other users and passwords required.

Changing Passwords
