Run Time Error 3127 when entering receipts
A few schools have experienced an error 3127 when entering receipts. If you are running the VERY latest version of the PFM software, this error will not occur, but if you are on an early version 6.05.00 it may be experienced. To correct the error, there are 2 choices :
1. If you have Microsoft Access available, you can make the correction yourself, as shown below.
2. If you do not have Microsoft Access or are not comfortable making the correction, you can email the data to Istek and we can make the correction for you - details below.
1. To make the correction yourself
a. Go into PFM and up to File - Where am I? - make a note of the folder, then come out of PFM and make sure no one else is using it.
b. Using My Computer or Windows Explorer. go to the folder noted above.
c. Locate the file called PFM5.mdb and double click to open it - answer any questions needed to open the file.
d. Perform a Compact and Repair. This will either be in the TOOLS area or on the Office button (top left) under MANAGE
e. Now locate the table called ReceiptSelectResponsible - right click and choose Design View
f. Add the following three lines to the list already there:
Contribution press TAB type C for currency
Outstanding press TAB type C for currency
Paid To Date press TAB type C for currency
g. Close table using X and SAVE changes
h. Now close Access, go back into PFM as usual and the error will be gone.
i. Now download latest version of the sofware to prevent this error re-occuring - go to www.istekuk.com/Upgrade2009.htm
2. To send the data to Istek for correction
If you use Microsoft Outlook for your email system, could you go into Private Funds Manager- up to FILE – REPORT A PROBLEM – SEND – SEND. If you do not use Microsoft Outlook, go into Private Funds Manager – up to FILE – MAKE PFM5 FFT. Next go to FILE – WHERE AM I? and note the folder it shows. Finally go to your email system, send a message to info@istekuk.com and attach the file called PFM5.FFT that is in the folder noted above.
