Error Message “Missing Export OLEAUT32.dll.195”

 

 

If you receive the error message shown above, this means that one of the essential configuration files is missing and you will need to obtain this file from Istek, either via email or on floppy disk. When received, perform the following procedure.

 

Shut down the computer selecting “Restart the computer in MS DOS mode

The computer will come up with a black screen and the prompt

 

C:\Windows>_                                              

 

Type in  CD\  and press return giving

 

C:\>_

 

Type in    copy   a:\OLEAUT32.DLL   C:\Windows\System and press return.

This will give a message

 

Overwrite c:\windows\system\OLEAUT32.dll (Yes/No/All)?_

 

Type Y and return. This will give a message

 

1 file(s) copied.

 

And return to you to C:\>_

 

Type Exit_and press return giving

 

Windows is now restarting………

 

Windows will now restart and go through all the usual logging in procedures. Once these have finished go to the Start  Run… Open: and in the box type:-

 

regsvr32 c:\windows\system\oleaut32.dll

 

noting that the only space is between regsvr32 and c:\windows\system\oleaut32.dll

 

press the OK button

 

If all has gone well a message box will appear with the message

 

“Dll Register Server in C:\Windows\System\OLEAUT32.dll succeeded”

 

The process is now complete.
